The Rhino Parade!
If you're based in Europe then you may already have heard, or seen, a cow parade. Well the Rhino Parade is similar, but with full sized models of rhinos!
2008 sees the first year of our efforts to promote conservation and Mwabvi by helping a variety of organisations build life size models of rhinos which we can display in various centres around Greater Manchester.
Our modest programme in 2008 is:
- a 2.5 metre long wooden slotted rhino made by Tom Cousins and being decorated by Elms Bank Special Arts College.
- a further, and bigger, slotted rhino to be decorated at the Urban Splash New Islington Open Day in Ancoats, Manchester in mid September.
We need homes for our rhinos, let us know if you'd like to donate to our cause and house a life sized decorated rhino over winter??
