New vet centre completed in record time
We were very excited to hear the news that the new veterinarian building has been completed in record time. The clinic is purpose-built with isolated rooms for quarantining and fenced enclosures on both side to allow the animals access to fresh air and excercise. It will initially be used as a temporary enclosure for the four new cubs, Tango, Sanka, Shiro and Sya when they arrive.
This building was completed in record time. The team started digging the foundations on the 14 March 2011 and the whole building was finally finished today, 23 April 2011 in just under 6 weeks. Not bad for Malawi ! !
This is doubly good news as we have heard that our three new lion cubs, Sanka, Sya and Shiro, who have been donated by Kevin Richardson's to MWCT, are already on their way and should be here very soon - watch this space.
Of course we now have the task of stocking our new veterinary clinic with medical supplies and theatre equipment.
