Highworth Grammar School raises £1546.62

Project African Wilderness would like to say a huge thank-you to Highworth Grammar School in Kent.

In summer 2010 a small group of pupils from the school visited Malawi and spent a week with us at Mwabvi as part of a longer Outlook Expedition. They stayed with Barry and Adele and the team at Chipembere Camp, were very helpful and we enjoyed their time with us!

One of the pupils was keen to help us even more, and Karina Greensmith the school's Director of Learning says:

"It is with great pleasure that I enclose a cheque for £1546.62 raised ove the past year by the Mae Learning Community at Highworth Grammar School.

Our students selected The PAW Trust as thei charity by an enormous majority vote following a presentation by one of our ex-students. She showed her many photographs and talked about the amazing conservation and commuunity work going on. Our Learning Community was inspired and organised a variety of fund-raising activities, including a non-uniform day, a Penny Race and a Mad Hatter's Tea Party which have been widely supported across the school"

So thanks again to Hanna and all the pupils at Highworth Grammar School. We will use the money you raised to look after the lion cubs and also to improve the woundcare facilities at Chipembere.
